As a designer, I see everything in pictures, as do the wines I try. This calendar shows how I see grapes and wines, how they should be drunk and with what. The shape of the glass gives each grape the best conditions for maximum enjoyment. The colors and text design visualize each grape. It has been clever because many of the grapes are so multifaceted.
When I studied to be a sommelier, I was advised to focus on one grape at a time to really understand all its nuances and variations depending on where it was grown and how it is handled. My tip: Get to know one grape a month! I have selected 12 grapes, and placed them during the food year. Try how they taste depending on the origin and climate, soil and surroundings, age and the vision of the winemakers. And try to find the heart of each grape and the clearest distinguishing mark.
This calendar is year-independent. You can either use the calendar for several years. Or you use the columns for your loved ones for a year. Have a good year!
