NILS JARLSBO

NILS JARLSBO

"My pictures don't want anything with you. The motifs are often quite boring and they lack people. They're actually pretty weird and why people want them on their wall is even weirder. Possibly on the outside deck, next to the king. Yes, that would be nice!”

Nils Jarlsbo wanted to be an artist when he was little. So much so that he added a "von" to the surname to make it more original and artistic. Later in life, he was told that Lars (von) Trier had done the same thing. It wasn't that original. After studying at Österlenskolan and Konstfack, Nils (without von) Jarlsbo is today a graphic designer at the design agency Nokoco and an illustrator represented by Agent Bauer. His colleague Karin often accuses him of having an artistic pathos and wasting color. He is never accused of being original.
