NINA TADSEN

Nina is an artist based in Stockholm. She works mainly in watercolours and her art is inspired by nature and by mythology. Some of her inspiration stems from travelling, but even more from carefully observing her usual surroundings. Attention to nature and our relation to it is important to her and this becomes visible in her Dryads series. Dryads are mythological tree spirits that care for and defend the forest they live in. Painting these wardens, in the shape of a variety of tree species, draws attention to the importance of preserving and defending forests as valuable ecosystems.
